There's definitely more to life than expensive cars and having lots of money. Nothing to kill yourself over.

Authorities this afternoon had not officially identified the man, but family members and Los Angeles police sources said he was Mustafa "Moe" Mustafa and was believed to have been in his late 20s. Mustafa grew up in Chicago's southwest suburbs, and he owned a condominium in the South Loop, according to family members and public records.
    ...
Mustafa, wearing a close-cropped beard and sunglasses, could be seen on some of the live TV coverage sitting in the front seat for nearly 90 minutes after stopping. According to public records, Mustafa had operated an "exotic car" rental business, with locations in Chicago and Las Vegas. Records also show that Mustafa had several luxury cars registered in his name, including a 2006 BMW, 2007 Chevrolet Corvette, 2007 Cadillac Escalade and a 2007 Hummer.

In a 2005 Crain's Chicago Business profile of Chicago Exotic Car Rentals -- one of the businesses Mustafa had operated -- the article listed automobiles the company rented out, such as a 2004 Ferrari, 360 Spider, a 2005 Bentley Continental GT and a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo. He listed his rental prices as $275 to $3,500 a day.

While it is sad, am I the only one who thinks suicide is a very immature and cowardly act in the vast majority of cases?

Teens my do it because they lack the life experience to realize that the sun will rise tomorrow and they get another chance. Why any normal adult would do it is beyond me.

Everyone has different tolerances for pain and shame. While personally I think it is wrong (akin to 'self murder'), I've learned that it's difficult if not impossible to understand the emotional impact of shame, whether the cause is "justifiable" to the outside world or not.

When depressed, in desperation, humans do a lot of sad stuff. I've seen this much to often in my own life. It's truly sad, moreover, to know how professional help probably would have saved them, if only one knew about the kinds of hardships they go over.

Regardless of the condition of the subject of this thread, it's beyond you because you have never suffered from clinical depression. Count yourself lucky.

I wonder if he had any family problems with his failed business? Failure as well as respect to family has different meanings to people from different cultures....RIP Thankfully he didnt do a top speed run in the Bentley that could have ended more then just his life!

You shouldn't assume I haven't any personal experience with these matters. Sometimes the only way to really know yourself is to hit what feels like the bottom, and peer over the edge down into oblivion so to speak.

Suicide deprives one's self of the opportunity to grow past it and conquer your demons, hopefully emerging a far stronger and wiser person.

If my original post came across as lacking empathy, that was not intended.
