hello, i've heard nothing but bad things about "luxury motors" in downers grove, IL. looking at a used f-car at "bentley gold coast" on rush street, chicago IL. has anyone on f-chat had any experience with bentley gold coast? good or bad? thanks in advance, joe
hi, thanks for the response. i guess i should have clairified my post. i know bentley gold coast and luxury motors are the same "company" i just got a better feeling @ gold coast than i did at luxury motors... just asking for any first hand experience @ bentley gold coast. thanks joe
Luxury and Bently of Gold Coast are owned by the same guy. Buyer Beware!! Triple check everything they tell you! Do your own outside verifications!
Same here, I buy all of my parts from Albers now. I wish Continental hadn't given up their franchise.
Luxury Motors sold me a Porsche without having the TITLE! It took them over 5 months to get it from the previous owner. Scary! Ask to actually SEE the title first. I'll reiterate a previous post - triple check everything.
I live a couple minutes from Bentley Gold Coast, I must admit I enjoy going there and taking pictures of the cars lining Rush street, but they are PRICKS! The guy who runs the place is on Something harsh and the workers down to the valet guys are jerks...I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to buy a new SLR or ContiGT if its been sitting on one of the craziest streets in Chicago...... PS my brother bought a Volvo 850 Turbo from Luxury motors.....Had VERY LOW miles on, after a couple weeks of owning, noticed that the speedo and odometer like to stop working for minutes, hours, weeks at a time....*******s
I think their motive is to look for the 'one time' buyer. Screw them as best they can, and the hell with any repeat business! The stories that are going around about them are endless; yet they never make a response. They have to know they're being maligned in this forum and others. Even other dealers are questioning what they're all about. There's something very shady about Luxury Motors/Bentley Gold Coast!
I'm surprised that Bentley would allow them to remain a dealer - unless they just don't know? (That can be fixed of course)
That should be fixed, I can not see why any automaker would want them as an authorized distributor. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE
What are you trying to imply here? Somehow I don't master to read between your lines. Hmmm. Sheesh, I wish Bill would be more clear in his communications. Tsktsktsk.
hello, i recall seeing a letter from john weinberger @ autosports stating that after the VW/BMW splitup of bentley/rolls-royce, that bentley required autosports to build a stand alone bentley dealership. and due to their lack of space, they had to sell the dealership. kinda ironic that three years later, they built a seperate maserati showroom, and the maserati brand is sold back to fiat. bentley is steamrolling ahead with the hugely successful continental GT and the upcoming flying spur sedan, while maserati coupe's and spyders sales remain lackluster.... go figure.
Here ya go... complements of me http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1804&highlight=luxury+motors
