I'm thinking of getting a Bentley Turbo R 1995 as a daily driver. Anyone gone this route? Any good websites for info? Thanks.

Can't help you unfortunately, but I think that idea is awesome. It sure is a fine car(I mean automobile) :). Good luck!

Good Luck, I heard they are very high maintenance & you get to pay 500-1000% more for good old GM parts

Had a friend who had one for 1 year in houston in the 90's. Nothing but trouble. when he got rid of it, he said..

I wish germany would have invaded england just long enough to take over RR/Bentley.

IMO, I wouldn't consider it as a daily driver.

Doesn't BMW now control RR and VW control Bentley? Maybe Bentley could get that wierd German guy on the VW commercials for advertisement...as if they needed it.

Well, despite the advice, I went ahead and did it. Black/Black - one local owner - 21k miles - all services up to date. We will see how it does as I'm headed out for about 3k miles in the next two weeks. Cheers, george

A good friend of mine has a 96 Brooklands with nearly 100k miles on it. In the 3 years I've known him the car has been fairly reliable with the only mechanical complaint being a turbo going out and a check engine light would occasionally come on due to the wrong lubricant. As said before everything is expensive, I believe a new windshield was $2k and when he fixed it after it was flooded from Katrina he had to replace 2 computers at a cost of ~3k each. I love that car but if you don't keep up with maintenance it will come back to bite you.

Well I have done over 3k miles and I LOVE THIS CAR. Awesome power for such a heavy sedan. Plus we are talking serious LEATHER smell. My wife really likes the sheep skin floor rugs. No problems so far. I'll take her in for an oil change shortly with 23k on the clock. Cheers, g.
