Just took delivery of our F430 Spider, and was trying to compare against a F430 Berlinetta I have access to.

Amazingly, there is no scuttle shake... and aside from the very obvious lack of a fixed roof (from an aural standpoint), it feels pretty solid / flex-free in town and on the highway (this one is obviously not going on the track).

Does anyone know if there are actual mechanical differences between the two cars? For example, Porsche tunes down the PASM settings and uses softer springs on the 997 Targas, and I think they use a different (i.e., quieter) exhaust system on the 997 Cabs. Does Ferrari do something similar?

Forgive the ignorance... what does "HD" stand for?

    Bump... What does HD mean?

Really would like to know if there are any mechanical differences.

    Thanks.
