Bernie!

I like her a lot too. The only time I have a little difficulty understanding her is when there’s a lot of background noise. Her voice sort of blends in, so she just needs to speak up a bit.

 

Definitely has awesome knowledge on tire strat and EVERYTHING that goes with it from track temps to knowledge of rubber compounds and how teams react to the ever changing environment.

She's also a good barometer on the weather as well.

Her knowledge as a pit strategist at AMRF1 is a plus to the SkySports team.

 

she must have taken some media training because she's much easier to understand now than earlier in the season.

I agree she's fantastic. her insights are great and good sense of humor.

 

She is sharp was on one of the teams as a strategist or performance engineer. Funny she asked a probing question to horner and he smiled and made a non-squiter answer...what a politician! Also funny to see her and danica. Danica knows nothing by comparison and they should not put those two together. Danica looks like an idiot next to bernie. I could not understand her either. It takes a bit but now I got her with no problem. Danica is the weakest on the team. I'd like to see more bernie and brundle pairing. They would give a really good perspective between driver who understands the technicals and team management....or we need a steve matchett for the technical car part.

 

Ugh, I miss listening to Matchett, Hobbs, and Diffey.

 

Hit mute every time she comes on, I guess it's just me.

 

That's where I picked up the word "clag" or "klag" from. Hobbs said it to describe the "marbles" on the track.

 

Well, Matchett and Hobbs, anyway….

 

I thought Bernie and Danica did a great grid walk. Good questions, Danica would do some set up, Bernie would follow up, they had a good pace, no fluff questions. Seemed like the professional respect factor was high when they stopped various team members. I'd love it if the grid walk took on this character, with smart, accomplished competitors, who happen to be attractive women, actually doing a solid job of conveying technical insights, strategic tradeoffs, some ribbing of the F1 team members to try to get them to give away more than they should.

A woman friend pointed out that Natalie Pinkham didn't look at Danica in their on screen time with Jenson and Karun. I had not noticed. Is that a thing? I watched them both, but did not notice that.

I have great respect for Brundle, maybe he could replace Crofty for race commentary, but I learned more about the race, and got a better sense of the grid environment before the race from the teams perspective from this duo.

 

I like Bernie's comments. Anyone that has insight to the behind the scenes of Formula 1, especially modern day is someone I listen to.

Danica, well I don't think she's adding anything. She will literally ask a question that was already addressed moments before.

Anyway this Bernie knows her stuff but i do have trouble catching every word,but can more or less follow her.

Pink noise is more entertaining than those 3.

 

I enjoyed their banter and Matchett's wit.

 

I think she is great! The first time she came on screen, I expected VERY little based on experience with others. (i.e. Danica Patrick) But the moment she began speaking, you could tell she was something special and knows her stuff! I find her extremely informative. I could listen to her or Sam Collins all day.

 

I called her cotton mouth the other day during the race. Ive never heard anything she has ever said.
