    Guys,
Last weekend I went up to Pocono International Raceway and did the 1/2 class for Roos racing. It was awesome! Too bad the season is over and I'll have to wait until march to do another course. Has anyone here been up there? Has anyone raced in one of their series?

I haven't, but have seen Bertil Roos' website. How do you pronounce "Bertil" in English?

they was my intro to track driving 5 yrs ago with 3 day course. was a great time but i think you can get same results for much less $ with the track day groups that use your own car like pda, emra, scda, pca, fca, bmw, etc. i also think most modern sports cars are better than the school "formula" cars.

Agree with 95Spiderman. Last weekend I was at Road Atlanta with BMW club. My student had a Subaru Impreza, chipped with a little over 300 hp. He had some track experience, mostly autocross. His times dropped from about 2:08 to 1:48 before the weekend was over. He did the 1:48 after I signed him off on the second day. Admittedly, he was a quick study. I have never had one improve that much on his first weekend there. Road Atlanta is rather intimidating. If you go off, you'll hit something. To put the time in perspective, lap times at the Petit Le Mans the weekend before were:

    LMP1 1:13
    GTS 1:21
    GT 1:26

You can learn a lot at these schools. Many of the instructors are club racers. I can also vouch for PCA schools. Both are good and do not cost nearly what schools that supply the vehicle cost. I particularly like the Peachtree BMW schools because instructor group participants can pass anywhere rather than in designated passing zones only.
