Also known as "TXCARS.COM". They are selling on ebay under the name www_txcars_com. I am living out a nightmare with these crooks. I purchased a Tahoe over a month ago from them. They didn't disclose several problems that the vehicle had. FURTHERMORE, THEY WON'T FURNISH A TITLE ON THE VEHICLE. Checking into this further, I contacted the Ft. Worth BBB, and sure enough, this outfit has more complaints than you can count - most of which are unresolved. They JUST SWITCHED their ebay user ID from an old one with lots of rotten feedback - MHGINVESTMENTS. Do a "seller search" and take a look for yourself. These guys are rotten to the core. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
FURTHERMORE, THEY WON'T FURNISH A TITLE ON THE VEHICLE.'' THEN HOW THE HELL CAN YOU REG A CAR AND GET PLATES WITHOUT A TITLE??? BRUCE
If they purchased the vehicle from Manhiem Auto Auctions, it can take sometimes up to a month to get a title. Husker, PM me & I can look up the vin on my account. As for the issues with the Tahoe without proper disclosure, they can be in very big DOO DOO.
SO YOU MEAN, YOU BOUGHT THE CAR, NO TEMP PLATES, AND IT IS UNDRIVABLE BECAUSE YOU ARE WAITING ON A TITLE??, AND PAID FOR IT??
Check TX DTPA(deceptive trade practices act). It will help. Give them the truck back/get money back. Without title, deal not done, so you can tell'em to shove it As Bruce and I say: No tickee, no laundry! Hi Bruce, how's mit Shark? Lee
I don't want to start a thread about each business in DFW to be careful of, so I will just post my warning here. If we get several others on our list, then we can change the title of this thread and just keep it going. I strongly discourage anyone getting their car worked on by Loefflers European Automobiles in North Richland Hills. http://www.loefflers.net/ We took our BMW there 3 years ago when first moving to Southlake for one of the more major services. It was an awful experience for how much we were charged, the delay in getting the work done, and the very poor quality of work. I was having the common problem where the door handle doesn't catch and you can't open the door. They fixed the handle but reinstalled the panels so poorly that the door wouldn't shut right, the window wouldn't seal, and there was at least one part that went missing (the trim around the inside handle). I swore never to go back. About 6 months later we had the water pump belt/drive go out. Jennie was stranded on the side of 35W and I hadn't found a BMW place to replace them yet. I just wanted to get Jennie off the road and the car safe, so I had the tow take it back to Loefflers. I caught them red handed! I knew things might have overheated and we would have to replace a few sensitive parts. However, they said I had damaged the waterpump impellers because it was the original pump and they were plastic! They were so dumb in their lie to forget to check what they just did 6 months ago! Yes, I got a brand new water pump with the updated metal impellers installed by them!!! They were pretty tongue tied and "updated" me that no, the water pump wouldn't need to be replaced. There is no way not to get caught any worse. I've talked to others in the business and seems like this has been a pattern forever. They have plenty of North Richland Hills, Keller, and Southlake house-wifes (and house-husbands) to take advantage of.
Can I ask why you'd give anyone money for a car with no clear title or at least a lean release on a title?
It is very common (the norm) for a dealer not to present you the title at the time you purchase a vehicle. They don't have it in hand yet in a lot of cases (liens against car, etc.), which is perfectly understandable and legitimate. If you waited until someone actually presented you the title before you purchased you wouldn't be buying many vehicles. I know - I am a dealer myself. I have bought over 100 cars and never had a problem. I wish it were my fault - that way I could fix it - but unfortunately, I am dealing with some crooks that are bad to the bone.
I didn't think you did it naively, please don't take my comment any other way than another husker smart@ss. I had a former business associate who has stiffed many in deals like this, and they all should rot in h3ll. Driving hyundais. @sshole brokers. Try DTPA anyway, and wire fraud if web involved. truun 'em in to tax board too
