    Hi guys
Unfortunately may wife accidentally disconnected the trickle charger while we were traveling. I tried to charge for over a week but the charger is just blinking intermittently red and green - not able to charge
I have the car - 1995 spider - since 2019 with no battery change and always on a tender

at any rate I assume I need a new battery
    Any suggestions what to get?
    Thanks!

You probably need a real charger to get the battery back, I'd try that first. I think I just have whatever AGM my local Batteries Plus had that would fit, I think it's an interstate. I put mine on a trickle charger if I have't used it in 2 weeks, if I'm going to be out of town for a while I just turn the battery switch off. There are a few folks that have gone lithium to save a ton of weight and they last longer. I had an optima before the interstate and it died pretty quick, they're not what they once were...

Yes, sometimes you need an old fashioned "dumb" charger to start the charge cycle as the newer smart chargers or tenders just won't initiate charging when a battery is fully discharged.

I agree on Optima batteries. I used them for many years but had 2 fail in short order, and one leaked and made a mess.

Since then, I have had good luck with Bosch AGM batteries. They can be harder to find but they seem to last really well.

If it was only 4 weeks total, and completely dead, it sounds like the battery is shot.
