What’s the rest of the garage look like? I personally like to have diversity in my collection. It would help to know if you have any glaring holes. For example, everyone needs a Ferrari V12.

And you can have a car with a central driving position. :)

    All the best,

Expensive yes, but also less than $500,000.

The first minute of this video should convince you!

Kim, what is considered fun is very hard to define and is different from person to person. It's a hard question to answer. What are some elements you are looking for in particular?

If you could add a bit, maybe a 599 GTO? Aren't those in the 500k to 600k bracket?

Not sure the BB is a good general suggestion. If any Ferrari could be considered an aquired taste, the BB is it.

I've owned both, they are fabulous Ferraris but ultimately you need to love them or they will sit and still accrue service bills. Wonderful Ferraris but they are also old cars, they will leave you stranded at some point and then frustrated. If the OP isn't the type to put up with this sort of thing, move on to something a bit newer.

For $500k you could get the best 512 BB [not BBi...sorry] and a really nice 599. I think the 599 is the best bargain V-12 out there. It's plenty fast, sounds fantastic, is comfortable and is roomy enough for a long trip. The BB? Just for fun and thrill.

Can't say where the BB will go in value. Seems to be bouncing on the bottom right now. The 599 has already hit bottom and is ticking upward albeit slowly. Alternative for the 599? 458 Spider which seems to be creeping higher lately. At some point the 458 might pass the 488 in value.

Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons, have you thought of the 365 GTC/4? Elegant (especially in blue sera), power steering, a/c etc..IMHO as an old fart, still the most under-rated driving Ferrari of them all. Had one back in the day and loved every second.

812 GTS? I think they will skyrocket in value once production finishes.

Much less expensive, but my stable also has an DBS 6 Speed. They only made 640 LHD coupes in 6 speed

1989-1992 Ferrari 348tb. Fully depreciated, values have already "bounced" and are on the way back up.

Might be shooting myself in the foot suggesting it, as I have yet to acquire one, but that's what I'd get.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I would be looking for a gated 599. Only a handful made and in your time frame.

The 812 GTS is not a bad idea. Doubt they will skyrocket, but they will probably not devaluate too much. Pista or Speciale are good candidates too.

What is the going rate for a 512M these days?
