Kraft Singles, American of course. I find it in most supermarkets. I like to eat it with ritz crackers or plain.

    Havarti on crackers
    Blue on salad/burgers
    American for grilled cheese
    Monterey Jack for quesadillas
    Swiss on most sandwiches

dont like oatcakes, they take away the flavour of the cheese. I like a nice thin light biscuit with the wee green bits in it with blue cheese or mexicana or roule.

You guys are missing the best and most widely used cheese in the south...who could forget Velveeta? The creamiest, smoothest most lucious cheese product you could ever pop in a microwave!

The only way to serve Velveeta is in a crock-pot with ground beef and Rotel tomatoes (jalapenos are an additional option I like).

    Damn I'm hungry now.

I would agree...that is a FANTASTIC way to serve Velveeta but there are many other uses and substitues to that recipe...try using Jimmy Deans sausage instead of ground beef!!! Damn, IM hungry now!!

My wife makes a dish that consists of a large bag of cubed hash browns (about 1/2" cubes), half a brick of Velveeta, a cup of half & half, and a stick of butter. Melt the dairy products together and pour over the hash browns. Top the concoction with a bag of shredded mild Cheddar, and bake for an hour. It is the best Au Gratin you have ever had.

Mmmmm what a good idea for a thread!

I love sharp cheddar. I love it plain or on crackers.
    I also love American cheese.

Split the cheese up into four little squares, get a dill pickle and chop it up (or pre-chopped) put them on a ritz and bam! Instant fat city. (made it up when I was a wee kid).
