I know there are a few brands and thickness out there,, anyone here have a favorite? I know in the past few years they have become even more clear, less noticeable.. on a f430 they doing the front bumper only or most still doing the 1/2 hood?

3M Venturashield is a great product. I have it on 4 of my cars with no issues. Xpel, a newer offering, seems to be superior from what I'm hearing and reading. In fact I just spoke to the installer I use and he has now switched over to Xpel. He told me he has had some quality control issues as of late with the 3 M product. I plan on using Xpel for a car I just acquired. Also, do the entire front of the car, i.e. bumpers, fenders, rocker panels and full hood.

Xpel is great. Just had it done on my F12. You can't see it from a foot away. Highly recommend. Just had it done on a new Porsche.

Xpel ultimate or Suntek. Both are self healing. Xpel you get a 10yr warranty, suntek is 5 I believe. In reality, they should come off every 4-5 years anyway and get a new on on.

I used Xpel, I had read that there were some issues with 3M, although I don't know specifically what they were.

I went with Suntek, full hood and fenders, bumper and mirrors.

Who needs a 10 yr warranty on a clear bra, needs to be changed more often than that anyway.

I had XPEL on my NSX. Had to be redone 3 times because of quality issues. During the removal, paint was peeled off. I was livid.

    Now that's funny!!
I was researching clear bras for 456 and rather than start a new thread the search turned op this one and the last post is a cracker.

OH and I got the answer as I was looking at a 3M based product from Paint Protection and 3M Clear Bra for your vehicle. Also known as Rock Guard.

Had suntek installed on my Jaguar XK about 6 months ago. Seems to be doing well. No impingement or adherence issues to date. Nice protection.

I may go the expel route next time as it is all the buzz.

Interesting I have been watching some comparison youtube vids and the suntek v Expel v Scotchgard which is a 3M product apparently seem to fair well.
There has been some concerning comments about paint comming off when the film is removed making me consider the whole concept

I have been using Xpel ultimate for over a year now and have never really had any issues.
