Resale Red/Tan Resale Red/Black Black/Tan Black/Black White/Tan White/Black Other Curious as to what folks think. I am partial to TR's in Black with Black interior, then Black/tan as a second choice. Comments, photos?
Black/Tan would be my first choice. Already have a 'resale red' 328 GTS and sorta regret it to some degree.... Jedi
Of course you expect a lot of biased opinions... I have a white/red and love it. You could not have sold me on that color combination - until I saw it in person. That one got sold before I could make up my mind. I looked at a couple others and decided I neede to find another white/red. Looked at two others and bought the 3rd one I found. Love it. What I really wanted and still think is one of the best combos is yellow/black.
Dear Ferraristi, My 91 Testarossa is red/tan with the brown dash....like all testarossa's with tan. I prefer red/ full black.....yeah, try finding red/black compared to red/tan. My Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster is Monterrey blue on snowcorn....the proper VT Roadster combo. Again, I prefer red/black, but.....it's a VT Roadster....it "has" to be Monterrey blue on snowcorn. I guess I'm bias to what I prefer....not what I have. But classic color combos are bigger than personal preferences. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
Since I have red/black, I'd put (dark) grigio/black on the top of my wish list for another one -- something like this (but with a black interior): Image Unavailable, Please Login I really like how the darker paint colors contrast less with the black exterior trim pieces.
interesting.... opposite to mho got to admit tho - the grigio looks good perhaps i need to reconsider what do other folks think of the high vs low contrast and the impact on the esthetics? bst rgds, vince
Before I bought mine it was the typical red on tan and nothing else. I never thought I would buy white on crema but to be honest I don't think there's a better combination for this model. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some interesting thoughts here. Having a red/crema car here in the garage sitting alongside a blue/grey I'm suprised by Steve M's comment. I prefer the vibrant lighter colours, particularly because they make the black accents of the grills, door handles and moldings stand out more. On the darker cars I find that many of the car's more striking features tend to get lost in the colour. My optimum, Giallo Fly exterior with crema seats and door infills, black carpet and black dash.
Blk/tan would be my pic if I can ever get there. But they all look really good. It's like trying to pick out your favorite set of boobs
definitely red/tan. every time i see my car, i *know* that's the right color combo for a testarossa. john
Here is mine - #65247 - silver / tan Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I gotta say black on black is my favorite, followed by anything with the black interior since I do not like the brown dash.
Hi Shemmer, Same happened to me ! My dream was a red/black Testarossa and now i have a white/tan Testarossa with brown dash!!!! Just love that combination!!!!
Honestly, I don't think you can beat white. The problem with tan interior is the brown dash IMO. I love the white/white I found with the black dash. SEXY! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw a blue (not sure which specific one maybe Sera), with a cream interior. Stunning. White works on this car too very well. To my eye it is a color that most cars simply can't carry. The lines of the TR are complimented by it.
White looks great. Maybe I'm of the Miami Vice generation, but I've always thought it looked very dramatic. Our FOC president in San Diego has a black/tan 512TR, though, and it looks amazing. I'd probably go for that or black metallic (if you can find it)/tan.
