Hi, just wondering what you all thought would be the best color on a Daytona spyder. I've got a conversion that is now black/tan and am thinking of painting it as I may be selling it in the future.
What do you all think. Red? Or leave it the black?

I personally prefer the black/tan or dark blue/tan, but red seems to be the best seller....

Grigio fumo met. (metallic smoke grey) with red interior. Second choice would be the same exterior with tan interior (for some reason the Italians are the only cars that look great in grey or silver paired with a tan interior).

Nothing wrong with silver colored cars, but personally, I'm getting bored with silver, as it has become such a common color; almost as common as red....

I’m sorry, but it should be red; I know it’s a cliché, but RED, and here's why:

The most memorable Daytona convertible I saw was a car of that hue and though I only glimpsed it briefly over a quarter of a century ago the memory has always remained clear.

I was in Paris, returning to my hotel in the early hours of the morning. There was a vermillion Daytona parked by the side of the street, casually tucked in at the end of a long line of Citroens and Renaults. It stood out like the rebellious square in large Piet Mondrian, the paintwork’s sheen silk-screened by a heavy dew, all together the Ferrari just screamed out ‘LOOK!!’.
Just sitting there, surrounded by monochromatic cobbles, architecture and automotive dross, it told a story: He was spending the night with a new girlfriend. He had nosed the Daytona into the last space on the street at a late hour, lost in lust, one eye on the curb, one eye on her. He was now sleeping in a mess of a bed, her hair swirled over his shoulder and their intermingled clothing spread across a floor while the car, which was practical transport for that sort of dog, sat outside, forgotten, until after he awoke and realized that there was a small black book to update and an answering machine on Blvd. Lanns with calls for another evening.

The Daytona’s shape is too simple to thrive in silver, the car could be dark blue but then it would become more of a business man’s express. I’m sorry but I’d have to recommend red with silver Cromadoras, not chromed wires, and come to think of it, all the top surfaces somehow coated with a soft Parisian dew......

Wow, I like that paris story! I've one to tell, but perhaps I better not. Seems alot of response for a silver hue. Unfortunatly I don't like silver, not my stuff.
You know looking at the car it does look really good in the black especially with the tan inside. Sort of sinister and at the same time elegant. I think I'm convincing myself to leave it black.

I'm not usually a fan of red..

..but if you watch 'The Gumball Rally' with that red Spyder, I think you'll be convinced...
