Any recommendations for a local mobile detailer you'd trust with your black F-car?

We have looked for some time now. They often tell us they can do it and then get water in the intake swirl marks in the black 360 and everything else. Try MarkyMark he too lives in SD. We have a friend in Vegas (glossit) he came down and detailed our cars prior the VIP Auto show and our cars are still clean. But, we do it ourselves we can't trust anyone.

    Call Xtreme mobile detailing!
ask for MEMO. They come to the house. He did my wifes black Denali as well as my spider and 750.
He really cares and Black cars are his specialty.
They bring their own water etc......

I tried them. Memo is a nice guy but.... He first did my SL500, spent several hours on it and did a fairly decent job. I then set him up to do the rest of my cars one at a time. By the fifth week he got around to my 355 Spider. He spent a few hours on it and I was rather disappointed. I had to go and point out simple things like dirty door jambs, seats not cleaned well, wax left in jambs and after I pointed them out he spent another hour re doing it. While he tried hard, it was still not what I would call a great detail. Just my experience and I am still looking for another detailer.

I know you are looking for a MOBILE detailer, but for future reference, my neighbor takes his Z8 and two Range Rovers to Lloyd's Auto Specialties in Carlsbad (Car Country area). Me, I detail my own cars, thanks to multiple detailing days at Meguiar's HQ.

Here is the link for Lloyd's:

    http://lloydsautospecialtie7609309627.worldpages-ads.com/

What really caught my eye about Lloyd's is that they offer engine bay and chassis cleaning (steam cleaning). With all the EPA regs in California, it is difficult to find any business that still does automotive steam cleaning (in the metropolitan areas).

By all means share with us best detailer and his rates. I would like to know who that is! I had the dealer do my car as well. They were overpriced and less than satisfactory etc..

Steve's shop is located off Miramar road..The only downside to using Steve is he's not mobile.
You have to drop your car off for the day..But trust me when I say it's worth it!

I've gone through over a dozen detailers in San Diego nobody's work comes close to Detail Works!

He's certainly not the cheapest..But trust me when I say your car will come back looking like it just left the showroom floor.

Most recently I had him do my Black X5..Tons of swirl marks .
He had 3 guys work on it for 7 hours..It cost me $300.

But it was worth every penny.

    (bump)

Anyone want to add to this? My front bumper's getting a respray while I'm out of town, and after the paint cures a paint I want the rest of the car to look that perfect.

Someone mentioned Empire Detail (Aaron Duncombe) to me. He's mobile, and I might try his service, but I haven't seen any cars he's done.

300 dollars for a swirled up BLACK suv is very cheap!!!!, if this shop put three guys on it for seven hours, even if the guys made ten dollars an hour the labor alone is two hundred and ten dollars.then account for payroll taxes, rent chemical etc.... you pratically have a break even situation, or loss
