Keep it in 1st. The gearbox presses the clutch in for you and is not wearing.

Will do, all this advice has been great. I've been enjoying the car a lot more and really enjoying the driving experience.

Ferraris use constant contact throw-out bearings, so there is essentially no difference in being in neutral or 1st gear. Plus, whenever you are stopped, the clutch is open whether in neutral or 1st gear. The only clutch and synchro saving technique, and it does not save much, is to coast to a stop in neutral to avoid all the unnecessary downshifting. Drive F1 like you do a 3 pedal car and you will love it. Drive it like an automatic, and you will hate it. So however you drive a 3 pedal, do exactly the same with F1. I hate the system doing any shifting for me, so I am a coast to a stop in neutral guy, just like I use 3 pedal cars. If you are coasting to a stop and traffic starts moving, use the downshift paddle to get her in a gear that will be too high, and immediately downshift one gear for useful acceleration.
