Under "Other USA," I nominate one of New England's most scenic drives, New Hampshire Route 112, also known as the Kancamagus Highway!

Perfect for a fall drive in a convertable.

An earlier post mentioned Guiseppi Risi wired with heart monitors during a high- speed drive. He was in a F-50.

4) Sea to Sky Hwy between Vancouver and Whistler (a scenic section of Highway 99 starting just north of Horseshoe Bay with mountains on one side and ocean on the other) undergoing major improvements at the moment for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Lots of radar traps
5) Hwy99 from Whistler to Lillooet BC: known as Duffy Lake Road.
6) Kootenay Lake road from Crawford Bay to Creston BC
7) The Icefields Parkway stretches 230km (142 miles) between Lake Louise and Jasper - easy access to the "most spectacular mountain landscape on Earth" - right through the Canadian Rockies. The drive has its own website - Icefields Parkway

I second the Kanc Highway in NH. I go up there at least once a year just to drive through it.

Sorry if it's a repost I notice Cap de Cruz ( Catalonia ), is there in Europe list.

About 30-40 miles down the coast mid way between Barcelona, there is a coast road about 5 miles long and it has about 360 turns in it, located between Sant Feliu de Guixols, and Tossa de Mar. Never out of 2nd and 3rd but great road (although I must admit passengers are not keen on it ).

Just watch out for cyclists. (Especially Lance Armstrong, he might overtake you, as he is/was local)

Added Long Tom Pass - Near Sabie, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Long, winding pass with a "Long Tom" artillery gun on display at the summit. Very popular with bikers, but loads of room for cars and bikes on the road. Situated about 4 hours east of Johannesburg. Great inclusion in any car weekend to the area.

 

I drove from Maranello to the Cinque Terre, don't know the highway but it was twisty and fun. I was in a micro Hyundai and being chased by an old fellow in a tiny Fiat. It was an experience.
