What's the best food you've ever eaten? While working for UGA I was treated by the research vessel’s “spoils”. Those fish caught but not used for research or aquarium. Yeah, monster fish: red snapper, grouper, trigger, barracuda, etc. Helped filet them on the dock & then took home 20-30 lbs of the real stuff. Broiled or grilled w/ lemon, basil & butter is perfect! It's almost illegal but not. U?

As far as seafood, has to be the mahi mahi we pulled out of the ocean down in the keys. Cooked it up that afternoon.

Steaks? Lot of places make a great steak, but I really like the bleu cheese encrusted filet at Wildfire

Ribs? Two different places. I love the fall-off-the-bone ribs at Twin Anchors. In Indy there's a guy who sells ribs and chicken outside the speedway, dry rub, that kick ass.

Pizza? Pizza is like getting head. Even when it sucks, it's still pretty good.

You're just jealous that he beat you to it!!!! :) :) :)

The ironic thing is, there's definitely some other kind of witty & hilarious post that should be here...yet it's not. Hmmm.....I think there's one more day till Darth's 3-day ban is up, then the Saint's come marching home!

Tuna, seared on both sides. Served in a light berry sauce with sushi rice. Garnished with wasabi and grilled ginger - Simon & Seaforts.

Filet Mignon at a local Chinese place. Sounds odd I know, but ask anyone who knows in Anchorage. They will agree.

Bread Pudding, served in a Yukon Jack sauce @ the Glacier Brewhouse.

    Those top my list,
    - Chris

A whole baked salmon. Caught that day by my friend as we began a 3 week bicycle journey across British Columbia and Alberta.

Or the brisket I BBQ'd two weeks ago. It was the highlight of a very good party.
12 hours at 200 F over a mix of hickory and oak. Heaven!

I used to feel that way too, then I went to Korea...

Getting back to the topic, it doesn't matter what the style or ingredients are, as long as they're fresh and the cook knows what he's doing, it's all good.

There are several million Texans who will disagree.

I love a good pulled pork shoulder. I prefer spare ribs to beef ribs. But brisket is to die for.

    Erich

I hope the moderators don't move this to P&R. Barbecue is a religious topic and I'm not subscribed.

    Seared Ahi I, uh, sear.

This blonde girl I knew in high school. Tasted like peaches I kid you not.

I love Texas. I love everything about Texas. No lie, my wife has been talking to me this evening about MOVING back to Texas. She loves it better than anywhere else.

Having said that, Texans are confused on one thing: BBQ is not cow.

And anyone that thinks brisket (road kill or shoe leather, still haven't figured out the main ingredient) is the best has never tried NC BBQ.
