whats the most memorable, pleasant experience you've had, as a child or adult, with your father (or any fatherlike figure)?

My dad was an enigma.... he died in August 1976, when I was 15. I have exactly
TWO memories of him being "a dad" to me, and neither is noteworthy - only that
I remembered he acknowledged me twice as his kid.

Nothing much there.... my Mom wasn't much different - just a little, but nothing noteworthy.

Neither parent took ANY interest in the things I liked or aspired to or wanted to do.

My dad was my hero............Little League coach, flag football coach, storyteller and I also remember, a firm disciplinarian...........He died too young, at 56, while I was away at college...
