    While waiting for delivery of my 488GTB some of my Ferrari ‘buddies’ decided to play a joke. The ringleader (we’ll call him Fred for anonymity) wrote a letter on Ferrari stationary and left it on my doorstep in the dead of night in a FedEx envelope which I found early the next morning. The letter is attached … it generated nearly a minute of total unbelief until I realized how outrageous it was.

    This was carefully crafted to the point where the phone number listed in the letter would have rung Fred’s phone who was ready to answer in Italian. If I had called that number I probably would have had a heart attack.

    All ended well. My 488GTB did arrive quite dry and is beautiful.

    The photo below is what I sent to Fred and the gang after getting the car … it will make sense after you read the “Ferrari letter.”

    I played a similar joke .. ok.. tree feel on my friends car in lot during storm .. had my gf call him directly .. his heart stop for at least 5 mins until my gf gave in

    Best jokes for sure .. at least when I am in sending end :)

    Hm. This “Fred” seems like a very interesting man. By the way don’t tell him I said this but I loved the Red “Ferrari touch up” paint bucket that one was a classic.
