Best Ferrari Driving Roads in Each State

This thread has huge potential. Kudos on the idea!

 

Montana........Bear Tooth Highway. Just ask Risi Ferrari.

 

Minnesota: Highway 61 from Duluth to the Canadian Border, along the north shore of Lake Superior.

Continuing the Lake Superior Circle Tour through parts of Ontario, Canada, through the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, through Wisconsin back to Duluth is also a great trip.

 

Laureles grade in Monterey CA and highway 1 by big sur

 

Ohio -
Chagrin River Rd In Gates Mills
Rt. 800 south of New Philadelphia to the Ohio River
Rt. 555 (triple nickels)
Pretty much any country road around Zainesville.

 

Agreed. Great idea for a thread. Posting maps and pictures would be even better!

(I'd post a great Florida road if I knew of any!.....I'm sure there are some)

Colorado: Peak to Peak Scenic Byway

Actually, there are many phenomenal driving roads in Colorado

 

In New Hampshire the Kancamagus Hwy, Rte. 112.

In Massachusetts the Mohawk Trail, Rte. 2 from Greenfield to Williamstown.

 

Arizona. Coronado Trail Scenic Byway (formerly Route 666 - the Devil's Highway): 120 miles, ~1,000 curves. Sweepers and hairpins. Gorgeous alpine forests, sheer cliffs, drop dead scenery. A drop in elevation from 8,500 feet to 2,500 feet from Alpine to Clifton. Big bonus ... generally not too much traffic.

Colorado - Lakewood 285 tp MonteVista then 160 to Cortez
Utah /AZ – 163 through Monument Valley
NM/ AZ – 60 from Socorro to Apache Junction
Michigan – 41 from Marquette to Copper Harbor
Wisconsin – 42 and 57 circle drive in Door County
CA - 76 & 78 Pala to Salton Sea

 

Highway 42 from Weirsdale to Deland has a few curves. Best I've found in central Florida so far, but it isn't much, lol.

 

I've been exploring the roads around Tallahassee. At least I'm finding a few changes in elevation.

 

In the Texas "Hill Country": the Twisted Sisters - SH 335, SH 336, SH 337.

 

I respectfully disagree and nominate highway 12 between Lolo and Kooskia. I still consider that the best driving road in all of the United States. When you first get on the road in Lolo there a sign that says "Winding road next 99 miles". All recently paved roads with basically no traffic because theres a newer straiter highway most people take. If you look at it on google maps you'll see what I mean.

 

Mad Maps has done this for motorcycles...my friends and I use them for planning car trips.

 

There are definitely great roads in Colorado just a short driving season. Even then snow on some roads may happen at any time of year. I miss the mountains roads!

Mississippi

Hwy 587 between Foxworth and Monticello, aka Red Bluff Road, or Tail of the Little Red Dragon. Great curvy road, lots of elevation changes, that follows the Pearl river for about 30 miles. Also passes by the Red Bluff, or Mississippi's "Little Grand Canyon".

That's a good road for sure, but if I can find the video and get it to load, you will see what happens on the Bear Tooth when they block off the highway both ways, and let Risi loose with an F40.

 

Highway 267 between 20 and I-10 southwest of Tallahassee is pretty entertaining but not very long.
