At the Seattle Historics in 1992, I witnessed the owner/driver of a 1969 312 F1 start up his car and drive it around the track with no other engines running. The sound of the V-12 and its echo off of the evergreens is something I'll never forget. Darn, I wish I had had a tape recorder.....
