No, he just does a good job. A few of the suppliers of before and after charts were using a very sharp pencil to fill out the forms from my experience. I put no faith in them.

If you need a piece of paper to feel better go to one of them. I pick subcontractors for the work they do, not the feel good paperwork they provide.

Last I talked to Bob they were moving. They might be out in the valley by now.

I've used Techron a couple of times on my old BMW and it does work a lot better than the regular stuff but Chevron products are harder to find in Canada so I also used Wynn's Fuel Injector cleaner, which is widely available, cheaper and works just as well for me.

I also like Wynn's better because aside from cleaning just as well as Techron, my cars ran smoother and quieter while I was treating them with it, whereas Techron tended to make the engine run a bit rough and noisier while it was treating it. Otherwise, both products gave me the same results.

However, I do not put injector cleaner in my '13 Cali30 as it hasn't seemed to need it. It comes with a 7-year maintenance package.

I will use Fuel injection Corporation. I have been heard that running too much cleaner can hurt the rubber parts in the injectors. Any truth to this?

there are specialists that rebuild injectors generally catering to diesel truck shops, marine engines as well as cars, they are everywhere... injectors are like spark plugs in that they are universal, just need to match the correct specs... like sparkplugs there are only a couple manufacturers that build for everyone and good shops rebuild them all... no need to pay the man in the middle...

use injector cleaner on an intermittent but regular basis as a preventative measure...
I like the enzyme approach vs chemical... been using Startron for about 3 years with good results... a couple of ounces to the tank of gas stabilizes the gas, deals with the water, and cleans any crud build up... ( enzymes are biologicals that do the work as opposed to chemical reaction...water and crud is their food source... kind of like PAC MAN ) does not contaminate engine oil as some of the other posters were concerned with the chemical cleaners

Found this on one of the Bimmerpost forums which purports to be a response directly from Chevron:

"Thank you for the inquiry. There is no need to change your vehicles oil after using the Techron Concentrate Plus (TCP). However, Chevron does recommend that you use no more than 5 treatments of the TCP per oil change.

With the use of the TCP there is a concentration of the product in your gas tank which is at least 10 times higher than what is in the gasoline itself. This higher dosage might create the chance that some of the product will manage to get into the oil crankcase and react with certain oil additives therein or dilute the oil itself. This is the main reason for the limitation of use - customers would not want to "overdose" and cause an unsatisfactory amount of the product to be diluting the oil. The directions for use are such that any dilution that might occur would not be a problem.

Again, It makes no difference if you add the Techron Concentrate before or after the oil change.

    Regards,
    Chevron Fuels Technical Services"

I also bought the 6 pack at Costco. It is NOT the Techron concentrate referred to by others here. Once I got it home and compared bottles I noticed my mistake.
I've also noticed a slight increase in MPG when the concentrate is in the tank.

Best bet on the concentrate is usually when AutoZone or the other big chains have a BOGO sale on the stuff. I stock up and have been using it as preventative maintenance for just over 20 years now.
I've only used something else once and honestly it scared the crap out of me as it produced billowing clouds of white smoke out the exhaust such that I had to drive the car around late at night trying to burn the damn stuff off. That was probably BG if I remember right.
