I have the AP headers ceramic coated by Jet-Hot to reduce the heat. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Mine do not as they're not required here, however they're all made to order so i'm sure if you contacted them they would be able to advise if they can fit them
I’m going with Fabspeed for now with blankets. It’s just simple that way. After a few years and I learn the car better, if I decided to delete air rails, etc, I’ll do it then.
On second thought, I’d love to at least contact Larini. Best way to contact Larini? Tried calling them with no success.
Nice setup. How do you like the headers/heat shielding long term? Thinking about whether to get Supersprint or new oem '99 headers for the factory heat shield.
That’s the direction I went as, dare I say, the most popular option - so tried and true package deal with the headers and blankets. Compared to stock, any option is an improvement - right?! Kevin
Is there a consensus favorite these days for those of us stuck in California and having to deal with the smog/emissions issue?
I ended up actually getting Tubi headers and now with no air rails. I really like the almost factory look but better insulation.
Does the Tubi shielding keep the engine bay cooler than stock? I'm looking at new oem 99 headers or Challenge headers, figuring the factory insulation would be superior and more cost effective than having Supersprint's covered. Also still trying to determine what the difference is between the 99 headers and the Challenge ones if anyone knows.
Well, you have a few options if you want aftermarket and figure the smog guy won’t bother putting mirrors down your engine bay… 1. find a set that has a lower likelihood to throw a code 2. Get an o2 extender 3. Get a tune you can also send your stock headers out to an outfit like https://quicksilverexhausts.store/collections/ferrari-f430-1/products/ferrari-f430-manifold-exchange-2004-09
