    Sennheisers are awesome.

I've had mine (HD265 Linear closed) for 4 years, still going strong.

I reccomend the Shure E2C's. I don't know how much you are looking to spend, but for 100 bucks I think they are awesome. I use my iPod everyday and the sound quality on them is amazing.

I have the Shure E2c's and have had the etymotics ER-6.

Sound quality is very similar, but the ER-6's provide better hearing protection for under helmet use (not sure if that is an issue for you).

Both are very comfortable. Go for which ever one you can get for less.

You asked what the best ones were, and headphones go into the hundreds of dollars... if you're only looking to spend $60 just go to Best Buy and pick a pair!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that if you check around on the web I think you can find the E2C's at around 70 bucks. Being 14 I don't think ahead like that.

I swear by my Bose QuietComfort 2... Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones. They are not cheap..but they sure are worth it. They are great on the plane too.

Go to eBay and grab these: Sony MDR-EX71SL. I've had two pairs, phenomenal sound quality, and can pump a significant amount of bass into your ears if you mess around with your MP3 player's equalizer. But knowing iPod's craptacular sound quality, I wouldn't know what to expect. But that's my recommendation for now! Hope this helps!

Let me rephrase that. Sennheisers ROCK! A cheap $25 pair of Senn's will not only give you post tri-port $150.00 sound quality, but they will also last you three times as long. I have some PX-100's and they are great. They sound better than my Bose headphones and are so much better to wear. Unbelieveable sound quality for an open air design.

Don't know if they make buds but AKG are some great headphones. Can be found in better audio dealers.
