I am taking my 70y/o father on a trip to Vegas in 2 weeks and I wanted to see if anybody tried them or had suggestions. I wanted one of those "once in a lifetime" experiences for him.

We are staying out in Summerlin, going to do mostly museums like Shelby, hotrod, nukes, mob, etc... Then I am dragging him to my regular spots (don't laugh at me) from when I worked there; Frankie's, Atomic and Capo's. Maybe drive the VoFire, or Red Rocks loop.

The strip is not really interesting for us so clubs, gaming and shows are not top of the list. Maybe a killer show, but who knows.

As a 14,000 +/- hour pilot with 13,000 +/- R/W hours I would not hesitate recommend Maverick Helicopters. I never flew tours myself, but took them as a customer two years ago. They are based at McCarran International (LAS) and offer various options, I.E. city only, day/night, the dam, Grand Canyon, etc. Some packages have landing options and/or meals etc. Maverick's helicopters are well maintained late model Airbus ECO-Star's (EC-130,) which is a model well suited for tours. While these tours have been operated safely for many years, accidents can happen. All too often the passengers want a 'thrill' and all too often the pilot will oblige. Don't be afraid to make your desires clear as regards your father. Enjoy your visit.
