Hello all, Looking to go to Orlando in about two weeks for a one week stay. Ritz Carlton is booked. Any suggestions?
The Waldorf Astoria just opened up at Disney. The Celebration Hotel is nice also, and has a great location.
Definitely not, it's very aged. JW Marriott right next to the Ritz is nice. Gaylord Palms is awesome too. You might do better to pinpoint what part of town you're looking to stay in for a better recommendation.
I'm flexible on location. I have not set plans. Tried the JW Marriott and they are fully booked as well. Last year the Ritz was booked right until we got into town and then suddenly something opened up. Thanks for the recommendations guys!
If you don't care then I agree with the Westin Grand Bohemian downtown. Nice place and a great area--you can do a night out on the town without driving.
I'm not a fan of the Grand Bohemian. I didn't think the rooms were that nice and the valet lost my car! It took them 30 min to locate it. I'd only stay there again if I was downtown and unable to drive home. Portifino Bay is nice...or the Waldorf.
I would want something uniquely Orlando, like a Disney property. Luxury can be found anywhere (and after Encore, it's just not the same).
Ray, if you're into the Disney thing my favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's newer and in much better shape than the Grand Floridian. Very nice rooms and you can look out your window and see the safari animals. Great bar, nice pool and a few good restaurants right there.
I will second that. The African breakfast buffet was amazing. Not too many places you can watch wild exotic animals from your room.
