I have been looking back at some of the older F1 cars and found some to be masterpieces of both the technical aspect of the sport, while still mainting pure beauty.

So lets see your pics for the best looking F1 car ever.

I'll post my own choice when I get to my home pc.

    Most beautiful ever.

More recent one would IMO be Ferrari 312 T4.

And modern would be Ferrari F2002.

Newey is IMO the only modern era designer with flair.

barnard was the last of the breed, most bernie Brabhams were pretty with the BMW turbos.

I was always a big fan of the '78 to mid '82 cars. It was that period when I really fell into the sport, and I liked the look of the forward cockpit look despite its inherent danger. F1 saw some really great designs in the years right before 1983 when ground effects were outlawed. That season, IMO, produced some of the more horrible-looking designs to date.

The '67 Eagle-Weslake, for sure, though the contemporary Ferraris with thir "bundle of snakes" exhausts were good lookers, too.

Among cars of more recent vintage, I like the Ferrari 640 and 641 of the 1989-1990 period. But I would not put any F1 car of the last 15 years in the "best looking" category. And the 312 T4? Hardly good looking at all, and even Enzo reportedly said the same!

Agree with most of the choices here - some outstanding designs! One that never seems to come up but has always been a favorite - for reasons I can't begin to explain - is the 156/85.
Love that car. Don't know why.
