    check this out....canadian land speed effort, putting together an old abandoned airframe of a F-104 starfighter, and a rebuilt engine with working afterburner....but, not just any F-104, as it turns out this was the abandoned F-104 airframe that chuck yeager flew in test flights...cool stuff! :)

    the NAE team's goal is to reach 771mph, that's 1% more than the current land speed record of 763mph....i wish them luck :)
