Best Motoring rain battle featuring Ferrari 355

Have'nt seen that before.

I had a Japanaese friend of mine translate what the 355 driver said after his spin. According to my friend he's one of the all time great Japenese road racers.

"Yes, the 355 was very twitchy in the rain. I've experienced this a few times before especially on this circuit. I believe it has a lot to do with the power steering. You see, the 355 was developed so that women would find it easier to drive. Hence the power assist, which when driven like a man, causes the car to spin. To be honest, I much preferred the feel and look of the 348. I think I'll give this 355 to my wife. She could use it for her shopping. Could be worse I suppose..... I could have got a 355 spider...now that would be embaressing!!"

Nooooo waaaay!!! A 355 still has the virtues of its older brother, along with some refinement. Yes, I have a F355 spider and I know that a coupe is more racecar like but my car is city/freeway driven and therefore very well adapted to its natural habitat

He is just pointing out what he ALL know is obvious about the F355 Spider...it is the "hairdresser's Ferrari"! lol

Not that there is anything wrong with that!

 

You can see how he came in too hot in the corner lifted which put the weight on the front wheels then spun, the power steering in the 355 is a quick ratio over regular steering once you get used to it you can use it to your advantage. The 355 is an easy car to spin on its axis from the race car like weight distribution of the radiators, hardly any weight up front

 

Hate to revive an old thread, but someone was pulling someone’s leg . According to recently available english translated video, that’s not remotely close to what the driver said lol. These are expert test drivers. They don’t own these cars lol. Funny though. Especially, the spider part .
