I want to take Chelsea to a few large slopes this year around Tahoe. Tough tempted, I'll probably pass this year because of my foot, but I would like to go to an area that has a comfy lounge, decent food with WiFi that I can get some work done for 7-8 hours. It's been a long time since I have been to the majors (The last time I skied Squaw Valley, the lift ticket was ten bucks!!!). Ideal would be to rent a lodge room for a day that I could kick back in, watch TV, order room service and get some work banged out.

Many to choose from. Be sure to go to the ski resorts that have more snow (higher elevations). Heavenly at South Lake does not have much. I would recommend Squaw or Alpine Meadows. Squaw has a great village with plenty of non-skier activites. Northstar is a bit lower elevation as well. Plan on bringing your rock skis for those planning to ski!

    Pray for more snow!

Sacramento is getting some rain right now and snow elevations should be around the 2000ft. level (a couple of inches). Hopefully that will add some more for this weekend.

We bought a cabin lease in Dodge Ridge. $7 Mil in recent remodels (new lodge), easy to get to (3 hours), and the we park the kids at the ski school while we explore the slopes. I will likely get bored with the runs after a couple of years, but it the place is much more low key than the giant resorts of northstar and sugarbowl. I do recall reading about wi-fi. We go next weekend. I plan to bring a book and whip out the crackberry for any work emergencies.
