Bravo in Santa Monica. Very good.
Did you find a place out here?? I don't know if you saw my post - you literally drove by me the other night when you saw the Chicken Car on California and 16th or 17th. I'm on 18th.
I'm going to throw in a third vote for Pepe's on Wooster street in New Haven, although they have an outpost conveniently located at the Mohegan Sun too. But just about any place in Italy serves pizza that is hands-down better than 99% of the stuff you can get here in the US. Heck, there's a little stand (I think it's called "Spizzico") at the food court at the Turin airport that has better pizza than I can find within a hundred miles of my house. Gio P

I have had pizza from every place you mention and I couldn't agree with your choices more. I lived a block away from Michael's and think it is some of the best thin crust in the city.
If that Joe's is like this Joe's then it's awesome. Joes New York Style Pizzeria & Restaurant Buffalo, NY Totally. Awesome.
My New York bred friend endorses it as the closest thing to home he's found here so far (15 years)....
Candlelight in Rogers Park on Western has the best thin Pizza I have had in Chicago. We just celebrated my daughter Stella's first birthday there 2 weeks ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For lunch. Plain old cheese - turned out amazing! No pics after it was done I burned my mouth something bad. Blisters and everything. But it was worth it Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'm in Chicago tomorrow for 5 hours - any place close to the airport? I'd love to take the family for a great deep dish.
I want to make one. I'm getting tired of the Pizza available here. It is good but I want to try something different.
MMMM, always looking for good pizza in chicago... I've got a little simple storefront on 5000 + w Belmont I'm partial too, it's a take out spot but they make a great pizza for short money. Anybody been to Burt's Place in Morton Grove that was on Bourdain's show about Chicago?
