Where would be considered to be the best place in italy to live? With the most moderate climate, roads, scenery, friendly people etc...?

    Just curious ;)

    Cheers!

Obviously as you ask the question on Ferrarichat, the right answer would be Modena

Not far from everything interesting: monza, mugello, the sea, the alps, villa d'este, brescia ...

For landscapes, roads, food and wine it would have to be Tuscany - at least half of North Europe seems to think so and real estate prices reflect this. Somewhere on Lago di Garda would be 2nd for me. ;)

Ligurian coast, Ventimiglia / San Remo area. Great weather, the med, mountains, within a few minutes you can be in Nice or Monaco, within a few hours Milano/Genoa/Torino. Goes without saying the food is good.

Riccione! It's on the adriatic coast.. in summer is hot, in winter is a little bit cold. In summer there are a lot of vips, nice girls, supercars. There's a lot of fun; discos, pubs, beach, water-parks! It's the best city of the adriatic cost for sure!

So many diverse replys, I need to get my map out and start plotting the areas you all have so graciously advised me about. Thank you so much for all your replies. As for the weather where I currently live. Sumer: perhaps a couple weeks of relitively hot weather(95 deg) then a month or so of 70-80deg. Even them there is a possibility of rain. As for the fall spring: cool 40-55 deg. Most likely rain most times, winter: cold and crappy sometimes a bit of snow, some freezing rain or just rain and cold. There just has to be someplace better than here? I hope!

    Cheers!

Positano or Forte dei Marmi. Don't fall for the tourist traps for which everyone is familiar.

Vicenza! No dubt. less than 150 miles to Maranello & tortellini, Classic Palladio's architectures, mountains, 50Km close to Venice and a lot of ferraris since north-east peoples may be a bit strange but... they got munny!!!

I have to say we got a lot of american cars too since the big US ARMY base, 3-4K peoples?
