Where is the best place for price and service? Further do any of the companies install G meters or limiters in their cars. In other words is there any way that they will know that you are beating on their cars or is this a given?

I rented a 355 spyder before i bought mine about 2 years ago. I gave them about $1,200 for 24 hours including the milage I used. There was no way for them to know how fast I went, thank god. However, I was scared shtless that I was going to scratch the bottom of the car. They walk around the car w/ one of those mirrors they use when searching under a car for a bomb to show you that the paint under the skirts is in good condition. If you hit a curb or bottom out going too fast (very easy to do) they will not only charge you to repair the car but charge you for the lost rental time while the car is in the shop. It was an exotic rental company named "Beverly Hills" something or other.

The service was great however. They even took me for a ride in a Diable to fill it up w/ gas.

Rent-A-Vette in Las Vegas. Contact Paul Licata, 702.736.2592, www.exoticcarrentalslasvegas.com. They were one of the sponsors of the Rampage event, and Paul is on this forum.

2nd that! Paul is a great guy! RAV keeps a clean fleet or cars in both SanDiego and Las Vegas!

During the Rampage one of the Lambo guys had to send his “Broken” Murci to California. He rented a 355 from another rental place and we compared it to the 355 from Rent-A-Vette Exotic Car Rental and hands down Rent A Vette had the nicest car. The other one was Hammered!

Another nice thing about Rent A Vette is that they do not place any of their company decals on their cars! So identifying it as a rental is virtually impossible. Other Exotic rental car co’s put their 800# on the plate frame or place a bumper sticker on their cars making you look like a poser.

Also, while in Vegas you should look up Bob and take a ride with a bunch of great guys from the local F-club.

G-Tech meters are abut as accurate as me trying to tell your 0-60 time after 10 shots of tequila.

I strongly recomend Vegas. Not only does Vegas have good evening cruising, it also has awsome interstate roads leaving it. A short trip out of town to Bolder Dam or a longer trip to Palm Springs would be perfect.
CA has too much traffic to really enjoy the car.
Just plan for the weather, dont do it when you need the AC on and the windows up.

I agree with most of what you say, except the part about the dam. Since 9/11, there have been very heavy delays there due to pretty intensive security. It can be a very frustrating drive at times.

BTW, it was called Boulder Dam when it opened. Since 1947, it's been named Hoover Dam.

I beg to differ. I have found the G-tech (especially the new stuff) very accurate to the hundredth decimal place. I have verified performance times at the track and radar logging equipment. Extremely accurate G-meters have been around for a long time, the rest is just math.
