Hi everyone. I have several James Bond plates: J 8OND P and other suffix'. I also have D 8ABE, W2 8OSS, VIL3 007 and D 8CFC (birmingham City FC). [The number 8 is the only digit which looks 99% like the letter B .Its what turns you on and puts a smile on your face and others around you. I am looking for "00070". Can anyone help me? I am of the school that you should only buy a painting if you like it.
i am from the school that hates crap plates that people alter to make them something that they are not J80 NDP D8 ABE W28 OSS VIL 3007 D8 CFC This is what you really have dont really do anything for me sorry
Hi bud, I thought someone posted on here that the Yellow Range Rover out of Layer Cake (the very car) was bombing around London wearing that plate? I havent seen either, but if I happen to do so when I'm out and about, I'll let you know. All the best Jamie
I've posted a whole section on one of my sites with pics of U.S. 'comedy' plates - some are hilarious : http://bonneville-speed-week.smugmug.com/gallery/505953
Still think Bad Goy's far funnier, just think you could run round on the sabath turning lights on and off and eating pork pies (my humble appologies to any Jewish Fchaters, but I couldnt resist the joke!)
"One mans rubbish is another man's treasure" dont you know? In any case it is human nature to alter, enhance and improve things. I am just waiting to see your "comb-over" Steve and Mr Fractious before I decide that its Crap or not. If you are David Beckham and earning £100K a week and you want to buy a plate "BG 51 FXZ" for £10k to put on your car which makes YOU happy then its surely up to the person concerned. DVLA KNOW that people will mis-space some plates which is why they sell certain plates from their database/auction for vast sums of money. e.g John Gregory the ex-Aston Villa Manager bought "V1 LLA" for £60K but everyone knows for sure that he will be mad for for not displaying it as "VILLA" after spending so much cash. It is technically illegal but DVLA are being hippocritical! In addition nameplates should be encouraged as they are easier to spot by everyone and can help police should the need arise. Further these "CRAP" nameplates provide jobs and much revenue for people and treasury respectively! respectfully yours.
Like most things in life its all a matter of personal taste, I agree with Steve as I really dont see the point of plates you have to be cross eyed and suffering concusion to understand! One thing I really don't agree with you on is that changing the spacing/appearence makes them easier to read in the event of an ermergency, flipping letters around and messing with the spacing just makes them harder to read.
Peter, I've seen that about a number of times, but I still dont get it - whats the significance or what does it mean? Nice car, btw. Jamie
"In any case it is human nature to alter, enhance and improve things. Unless the car in front slams its brakes on then you'd have to change it to All in your boot! (sorry couldnt resisit)
My ex's Mum was going to buy 36C in the late 90's, but the deal fell through because of the shady dealer selling it. I cant remember what she said she was going to pay for it, but I remember it being that plate as she'd just had her breast augmented to that very size. What a nice touch.
