    My wife and I got bored friday night and bought a PS2 (thin line whatever that is) niether one of us had really played vid games since Nintendo.


    We bought MLB 2K5 by ESPN, (the baseball game the guy at the gameing store recommented)

    What are some of your favorite games,
    we like baseball adn racing games.
    And she liked the old school games like Donkey Kong and what not.

    What are the best racing games, I have seen GT3 and 4, and F1 2002 but don't know the differences. The F1 game really caught my attention, is it any good ??

    GT4 is one of the best racing games for the PS2 .

    There are alot of the "old school" compilation discs from Sega, Atari, Intelivision, Midwest, etc for around $20 each. There are usually 6+ games on each disc.

    there is a disc you can buy for PS2 with a whole bunch, like over 50, old Atari games. Not the greatest games in the world but they do bring back memories.

    she bought Atari Anthology but took it back, she said those games were much cooler 25 years ago :)

    If you want to be challenged, go pick up Tom Clancys Splinter Cell...there is 3 driffernt games, i doubt it matters which one you choose, I reccomend the newest Splinter Cell; Chaos Theory.

    If you like RPG games get one of the Final Fantasy's. Even though FF7 is for PS1 you should get it. It'd keep her busy for a while.
    Other games I like are Shoot em Up games. Ghost Recon, Medal Of Honor.
    Racing Games are alot of fun too...

    I used to play that thing Non-Stop. I've bought 3 already because my brother dropped one, and the other stopped working right after we could get a refund. But the new one hasnt really had many bad problems.

    I'm addicted to NEED FOR SPEED 2 :) it rocks. I got 2 racing cockpits http://www.playseats.com w logitech steering wheels in front of my 90" screen. Its friggin awesome LOL

    Socom is good, I like socom for shooters. Pick up the second latest James Bond game. JAmes Bond 007 Night Fire Its a great game. Need For Speed series has some good games on Ps2. Ace Combat is a good one. Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas are all good. Pick up The Get away. Not the new one, the older one. The new version sucks.

    Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (technical fighter), ESPN NBA 2k5, ESPN NFL 2k. Your game advisor has a good head on his shoulders! The ESPN franchise is top notch. Ninja Gaiden. I think the Sega Classics is on PS2 now, Mrs.308QV might like that, also try Head Hunter.

    Mercenaries by LucasFilm is way cool.

    The other cool game is Rainbow Six 3... Playing that online is awesome...

    SOCOM 1 was a better game than SOCOM 2. The weapons are poorly balanced and the maps are too uneven in SOCOM 2. I can't wait for SOCOM 3 to come out. I pre-ordered it. I would say that SOCOM 2 is a better game than HALO, Medal of honor, rainbow 6 and the other tom clancy games.
