Motul RBF 600? SERIOUS high BP stuff. Usually changed after every weekend or once a year in a mostly street car. Only thing better is the expensive synth Castro SRF.

Castrol SRF is about as good as it gets.

Japanese company called Akebono makes some stuff even Ferrari F1 can't get. Must be made of sperm whale "sperm"

Here are the high-performance brake fluids I know of, but I'm afraid they're all synthetic:
    • Motul RBF-660: 325°C/617°F dry and 205°C/401°F wet.
    • Motul RBF-600: 312°C/593°F dry and 216°C/420°F wet.
    • Castrol SRF: 310°C/590°F dry and 270°C/518°F wet.
    • Endless RF-650: 323°C/613°F dry and 218°C/424°F wet.

Castrol SRF is the best technical fluid but is the most expensive and sucks in moisture very quickly, requiring frequent replacement. I use Motul RBF-600 as the best all-rounder, and change every 12-16 months - it is also more reasonably priced.

Here were two other posts where I discussed needing a very good fluid as my small brakes and small wheels suffer from low ability to dissipate heat (MINI experience, not Ferrari):

I actually don't know of any non-synthetic solutions for brake fluids - are they still made?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I boiled it in my MINI. Haven't had any more problems with boiled fluid since I switched to Motul RBF-600.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Alberto- You want synthetic fluid. What you do not want is silicone fluid. Big difference.

I use fresh ATE when I track the F355.

I did have one brake related incident when I cooked the pads--the fresh ATE held pressure on the pedal but the coefficient of friction disappeared--Pad Fade. Now I use Ferrodo DS2500s. If all you use at the track are street tires, Ds2500s are ll you need with fresh fluid (even in 103dF Texas summer heat.)

You know ATE Blue has gone away (In this country)? Something about the Feds confusing with antifreeze.

It is still available as far as I know. Just not DOT approved for street use due to blue coloring.

ATE Amber 200 is exactly the same as ATE SuperBlue, just without the blue dye. I used ATE in my 308, 328, and a couple of Corvette Z06s on the race track, and never had a problem with it. Performed extremely well with no brake fade.

I alternate blue/amber when changing fluids. It's easy to tell when it's all out.
The old stuf works good as a weed killer.

My Local independent Volvo shop orders it for me. I believe you can also order it online.

Actually, I only intend to use the ATE for Street use as I don't track my car.
