I am looking for a good quality installer for a radar detector, probably one of the concealed units like the Escort Passport. Hopefully someone who frequently works on high-end autos, not a pimp-my-ride kind of place. The last one I used was on El Camino in Mountain View but it has long since folded. Any recommendations, preferably in the south bay/penninsula?

Anyone have any recommendations in the south bay? I live in Los Gatos and
Hayward is a bit impractical for me, although not out of the question if Sound
    Innovations is awesomely good.
I am interested in a radar, and especially laser, detection setup. Not sure what
is available and legal (jamming? shifting?) for laser, since by the time your
detector lets you know you have been hit, they have your speed. Also interested
in a nav system upgrade, maybe flip-up screen.
All this would be for a F430 Spider.
    Thanks
    Mike

Just wanted to recommend Ernie also. He installed my car alarm and did a great job and his customer service is excellent.

I foget the name of the place but I used them for my new X5. They installed it very nicely under the front bumper and in the rear. It's on the corner of Stevens Creek and Kiely right across from the Chevy dealership. Bevmo and the new Porsche dealer are on the other side.

The owner is currently putting together a "kit" lamborghini diablo.

They have done several jobs for me and it's not your typical "pimp my ride" place.
