This was our first choice. We called to make reservations this evening and were told that they were closed both Sunday and Monday; the website shows they're only closed on Mondays..

We'll be dining here Monday evening. Really looking forward to it!

Thanks for the advice, gents. I'll be sure to report back!

Enjoy. I highly recommend the A5 Wagyu "sashimi" (seared on a hot stone), suckling pig, steak tartar, and foie gras cotton candy, but you really cannot go wrong with anything. I've been there a number of times and everything has been top notch excellent.

Let us know how you like it.

Per Se you may be able to get a table in the salon for the salon menu. Otherwise Bar Masa next to per se or can try Lincoln as mentioned below but stick with the pasta. Benno has been seriously been hit or miss lately past few times i've gone. Pasta tasting menu was amazing then I got some duck dishes which were terrible amateur hour with insane prices. Same deal with pastry dept very hit or miss lately at lincoln either amazing or a joke. Nougatine or Jean George is also a very good option and pretty on point.

If you're with a group and have never been to Martoranos it's a good time. Good food too.

None of the truly great meals I've had have ever been in big-name restaurants - tiny local trattorias in Italy, village bistros in France, street stalls throughout Asia and small boutique hotels in the UK are what have yielded gold for me.

I've eaten in a number of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants over the years (some great, some merely okay) but the meal I recently had at his London flagship, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, was the best restaurant meal I've had in 2 or 3 years.

Drogheria Della Rosa in Bologna. Hands down enjoyed it more than Thomas Keller’s Yountville places. L’Albatros in Cleveland high on the list. L’Ecole, the student’s restaurant of the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan is the best meal for the money likewise Bocuse at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park is a bargain for high end dining. Auberge du Soleil in Napa.

Favorite restaurant in Vegas is L'Atelier in the MGM Grand - it's a Joel Robuchon restaurant right beside his main Vegas one named after him. His main restaurant is a 3 star Michelin restaurant so if you're in the mood for an expensive snooty french restaurant, that's the one for you!
    Favorite in NY is Marea.

Howard. I like the Atelier as well. The GM there used to be a waiter at Le Cirque. We are always well treated and will be back next month
