I'm based in Corning NY and looking to buy a 360 or 430 in the next 12 months or so after I dump one of my rental properties and the spring thaw occurs.

Can anyone recommend a dealer / broker to work with out here who isn't going to hard-sell me immediately and who can help to educate me on my purchase so I can narrow down what I want?

Also, are there any indy shops up in this neck of the woods, or Ithaca / Rochester which come recommended?

    Appreciate it!

    A couple thoughts..

I don't know any good places up your way to find a car, if you're looking for a good 360/430 you'll likely want to cast a wide net to find the best car (and do a PPI).

As the crow flies, I'd imagine that Algar or WWoC are the closest dealers; Miller in Greenwich is further but they are my guys and I'm sure they'd likely deliver a car. For independents, Universal on Long Island and P1 in Stamford, CT are great sources and high credibility for a PPI on a car from the broader NY area if that's where you want to look.

As a more local source, the FCA Empire State chapter has a number of members up in the Corning/Elmira/Horseheads area, they are Glen regulars, might be worth networking with them to get some credible leads on cars.

Last, there is an Fchat member Dave Rocks who lives in Buffalo, he might have some local ideas.

    Good luck

    All good advice here.

I remember someone once mentioning a shop in Syracuse and I don't recall the name and don't have any experience with them. Aside from that, nothing close.

Here are guys I highly recommend for service and it's not too far from you - these guys are the best!!

Thanks! I'll reach out. I signed up for the FCA a week or so ago to do just that but nothing incoming to my mailbox yet. I guess I need to wait a bit longer...

This gentleman has good thoughts. I would add that these cars are kind of quirky and I would not own one if I was more than 1 hour from a dealer or shop with the proper equipment (SD3) and experience to diagnose and fix problems. I highly doubt there are enough 360/430 cars up there for a shop to know them inside and out. Maybe a Porsche would be better?

I have a friend who uses Rocco at Cantech Automotive in North Syracuse to care for his 550 Maranello.
