    Have a bunch of *.avi movies downloaded that I want to splice together. Nothing fancy - just want to make it one big movie.

    What's the best software to do this?

    Prefer it to be freeware if possible, as I will do this quite infrequently.

    if u r using WINXP OS update ur movie editor
    its not bad and its easy + its free
