So, with the new DTS & Dolby Digital DVD out, I'm curious what everybody thinks is the best sounding car on the DVD? Don't factor in personal experience... just what you hear on the DVD. That way we all are rating the same thing.

(If you want to rate a car based on personal experience, go to this thread: .)

Nice one Brian - given I voted 312PB from Victory by Design I sort-of-had to vote the same way here!

Absolutely, Maserati has the best sounds............Sorta gives you this kind of tingly feeling up the back of the spine when he cranks them up and pulls away.....ummmmmm

Who can resist the 11,000 RPM whine of the 333SP?

333SP is too much gearbox noise for me. I think I might even put that little sequence at the beginning where he starts up and pulls away in the 166MM in second place.

I love the sound of Ferrari's race cars, and the 333SP gets me going like no other Ferrari on that list!

When I first posted this poll, I didn't vote because there were too many I remembered loving... I finally got around to watching that again... darn tough choice!!!

Even the ancient 166MM had a stirring sound... the 333SP had that great F1 sound... but I like a sound with a little more character... the Enzo impressed me... very similar F1-ish sound, but with some of that deeper growl mixed in... sweet! That kind of surprised me.

The other surprise was the Dino 246... I've always been a fan of that car, but this was the first time that I noticed that it has a particularly appealing sound. I almost voted for it.

But in the end, my vote for most beautiful design also ended up my vote for best sound: the 330/P3! Not quite an F1 shriek, but lots of character, lots of growl, and a great shriek.

333sp had some gearbox noise, but maybe because of a bad driver, not the car. When that motor spins up there, I think it is the best sounding. All the 60-70's cars have a sputter to them, although on the road the 250tr has a nice sound.

I vote for the 333... sweet and evil at the same time.
