    X-ost?
    Tubi?
    Capristo?

Let me know, do you have to replace also the cat-pipes by for example free-flow pipes? No overheating problem?

I have a F355 '98 and would like to mount the best sounding unit.
Any adresses where to buy in Europe? (or USA if thats the option)

    Let me know,

    Frans

I'm in the same process of upgrading the exhaust system as you.

There are many good systems out there. It all depends on what you're looking for (type & quality of exhaust note).

You could go with by-pass pipes for better flow. But if you have to retain those cats, then I'll go with Hyperflows (that's what I'm goin with and I think most here on this board would agree).

I'm narrowing down to Capristo vs. Kreis-sieg (have not heard K in person yet but Cap sounds very close to what I'm looking for).

Here is the thread I started on this topic: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133755

Hope this helps and others with much more experiences with 355 exhaust please render your valuable advice.

I have bought my tubi at Kroymans Hilversum. I havent heared the other systems in person but the tubi sounds very very good.

Here's a small clip of my F355 with tubi:

It's definitely much louder in person.

I can't help you with the other questions but I'm sure Kroymans or any other officialy Ferrari garage can.

I am glad this post is fresh. I would like to hear everyone's opinion on the exhaust.

For me, what is the best solution for the entire exhaust system (headers, cats and exhaust)? Do you go with a single brand (if there is such a solution)or best of breed in each category? I would tend to believe brand matching items will be easier to install (could be wrong). Also, if you have went one way, like in my case my 355 came with a Tubi exhaust does this sway future brand decisions for the other items. I do not have plans to switch the Tubi and will save the money for the Headers and Cats.

MY choices for a swap on a 348 are Hyperflows for cats (not much choice) and Fuchs for exhaust due to the quieter exhaust note. Tubis are the most expensive, IMO and they are the loudest - I don't like the volume, personally. Capisto looks weird and is loud. X-Ost is a possibility but also loud. I am leaning towards Fuchs on the recommendation of my mechanic (who is not a distributor, BTW).

    Frans,

This question gets posted several times a month on this forum. You'll find that a couple of hours searching will give you everything you need to make a decision. You should find: sound bytes, details on installation, exhaust options, cat options, pricing, places to buy, impressions and impressions and so forth. Every set up is unique, everyone has their opinion but you will find some concensus. This modification is without a doubt an improvement to the sound of the exhaust note and you'll be glad you spent the time and money researching.

search specifically "test pipes" and "exhaust"....you'll be busy for days and very, very informed and can inform the next.

Welcome to the board, post pictures and good luck.
