I am going to Naples and was wondering if there were any great local steak houses? I already read about Stoneys....Is Stoneys good? I am looking to stay away from the national chains that we have in Miami.

I agree that Andre's food is great, but I don't enjoy eating in a crappy place where the people sitting at the next table are 2" away.

Stoneys porterhouse is the best. If I remember correctly, it costs about$50 and is well worth it.

Berns Steakhouse in Tampa is world class if you find yourself in Tampa. It's about 4 hours from Naples but the place is really great so I couldn't resist the plug here. Let me know if any Fchatters are in town and want to grab dinner at Berns sometime. Me and the wife love it!

I haven't tried Andre's yet, but I heard they cut your steak for you?? Not sure if thats true, but if it is, its beyond rediculous.

Anyways, one of the best is Chops: http://www.chopscitygrill.com/ right on 5th Ave., so you can walk for drinks, etc. afterwards and watch the Ferrari's roll by. Incredible food.

Stoney's and Trulucks are also very good and would tied for 2nd in my opinion.

Corks Steakhouse would be 3rd, again right on 5th Ave. which is nice.

    Enjoy!

p.s if you truly want the best service and steaks, you've got to go to The Grill in the Ritz Carlton, but expect to pay huge $$$. $50 - $60 steaks. I've only been once, but it was the best meal I ever had. No Ferrari watching up there though as its kind of isolated.
