Now that I have my FF I want to sell my Panamera Turbo S and get an SUV. I have had about 5 cayenne tubos. I am not sure if I should get another one or try the Macan turbo,or even a Range Rover Sport. Anyone have any experience with these other two?

Love our full size Range Rover. We are on our second one. Our first one was a v8 supercharge then trade it in for a diesel (the v8 model is very thirsty). Both will not win a drag race against the cayenne but I love the driving position and quality of the interior. If power or speed is your main priority, I would look at cayenne turbo or X5m. A new cayenne should be out later this year or early next year. Hope this help.

Interesting addition, my FF is my SUV :) We have a family Cayenne Turbo ('16) with the sports exhaust that I love however I would consider the new RR SVR if I wanted to go with something different and fun.

The range rovers are nice. cayenne's are still the best handling/performing suv's on the planet imho. I have yet to see an suv I would replace my cayenne with.

Macan Turbo S is really fun to drive IF it's big enough for you. RR is a bigger machine experience.

    Macan or Cayene.

The RR is pretty but past its time and relatively poor tech and quality. Was the poser car in OC, Newport, Bev Hills 4 years ago. Now the soccer moms drive them.

Drives more truck than world class suv.

I don't think you can top the Cayenne Turbo if performance is what you're after.

If you don't care about performance, the Land Rover LR4 HSE is a great place to be inside. Large windows with "theater seating" make it a joy to drive on scenic roads. Very comfortable ride as well.

It is being replaced with an all new design next year though. Personally, the leaks don't look too appealing...a little too rounded off. I like the boxy look of the LR4.

yep, agree with above, also run a LR4 as the family hack - fitness of purpose it's absolutely bang on target. it's unashamedly all about practicality, comfort, quietness, space and convenience. and surprisingly the performance and handling is ample for daily road based use. the replacement will be more in line with the RR models and much less utilitarian, mores the pity.

Truly ... Macan over the Cayenne. 3 inches lower and 3 shorter wheelbase, 7 shorter overall, feels much smaller and more nimble, just as fast in a straight line. Really rides with an effortlessness suspension.

I'm definitely in the Range Rover camp if you want something different from your previous P Turbo.

As a small addition I will say this. The Mrs. and I had a longish test drive in the new Bentley SUV a few weeks ago. What a huge disappointment that was. As I have spent the better part of 5000 km in my brothers Q7, I can't see what's the point. So many things inside are the exact same, and everything else seems to be on the same quality level. If you pay Audi prices, that's all well and great. If you pay Bentley prices, it's absolutely ridiculous. And honestly, looking at that front end in the flesh? It's quite hideous. In terms of road feel and performance, it did little to impress. Sure it's fast in a straight line and it can go around corners. But the Cayenne does this much better without the harsh ride we found the Bentley to have. It just felt way too heavy and hard to place -even more so that our Range Rover.

Given you have the FF for everything "normal driving", how about a G63 AMG for the experience - probably loses to the other SUV candidates on most measurable criteria, but somehow still a cool car.

Nobody has mentioned a Bentayga. I think that would be the perfect compliment to the FF.

Overpriced ... Maybe a second hand one after a couple of years when the price is more realistic. You shouldn't have to pay supercar money for any SUV.

We love BMW and when looking for an SUV for my wife we went with the 2016 X5 M. This car is great and fun to drive! Nice exhaust sound, power, 0-60 is about 3.8 which probably makes it the fastest SUV on the market. Comfort is up there and has nice technology. Kids love it, spoiled by the soft close doors, heads up display, quad camera, etc. I think its faster and more sound stock than my 2015 M6 vert. IMO BMW has been better than Lexus, Infiniti and Lincoln when it comes to reliability and also like the 4 year no maintenance thing which covers things like battery, air filter in the cabin, etc. Only downside is everyone around you wants to race. Maybe normal but funny how these little hyundais and toyotas pull up to race next to you.

Sorry to sound like a BMW ad here but try one out. We have the Donington gray with red interior and it looks sporty.

After a Cayenne turbo and a Turbo S we went with a Macan turbo and don't regret it one bit. Rides better, smaller, PDK is great and much cheaper, great value. It might lack a few hp for some so I am looking at a chip soon...

Isn't the purpose of an SUV is to carry people and stuff ? Macan is lacking in this regard compared to the cayenne. It is a hot little ticket in the looks dept.

Which car do you think I described in my previous post when I talked about my wifes and my experiences with a Bentley SUV?

And if one really wants to go that route and pay supercar money for an SUV, I'd wait until Rolls is ready with theirs. As I said, my wife and I were hugely disappointed with the Bentley in just about every aspect of it.

And a Maybach version of the GLS series is a wait and see option as well.
