So let me get this straight...

    A 15 year old F40 can come into the U.S. w/o DOT/EPA?

Just pay the duty and in it comes?

Canada (aka: the 51st state) is 15 years.

The USA is still limits it to 25 years for such behavior.

Be ready for that European F40 purchase in 2015 and you should be good to go. Want it sooner and you have to play the game and spend the money.

    ok...thanks

For some reason I remember reading about a DOT/EPA exemption that could be filed (every 1 or 3 years?). If the owner wanted to keep the car in the U.S., the exemption is extended. Do this X amt of times and the US limit catches up to the car in question and bam...youve got a legit car....NOW I could be TOTALLY wrong on this.....this is just my poor memory of an article i read somewhere at least a year ago

Anyone else hear of such stuff? work for an F40?
