Best time of year to come to seattle ?

I came up in june 03 for 2 days. the weather was fantastic.
Is this a good time or was I just lucky ? Is there a dryer season ?
I remember crossing the bridge over lake washington. (in a porsche boxter that was loaned to me.)
What a beautiful place Seattle.
I want to bring my family this time.

You were lucky. My favorite joke is summer lasts 3 days sometime between August 15th and September 15th.
I have seen the best weather consistantly in the first part of September but my favorite part of the year is early October. Cooler at night, fresher air, sparkling days.

 

In this order, August, July and September are most likely to result in dry, and mostly sunny days.

Yeah, the weather can be gray and gloomy, but we really appreciate those sunny ones!

I spent 2 summers in Seattle. I would say August is a good time to come. There are no best times, as different time of the year brings different views of Seattle, just like any other city (except LA). However, I have been there in summers, where there were only 2-3 dry days the whole time.

Guessing Seattle's weather is like playing blackjack at Vegas, its a tough situation to predict.

Have fun, thats all that matters. The people are nice, the weather is ok, and the King County Highway Patrol rules!!
