    i know it is personal preference but want to hear from members, their opinions on the lightest and "best" full shield helmut for occassional track use. Which is the best place to get a helmut? What about a Nomex suit?

    this guy wore this helmet all his life and died in his bed unlike some "greats" out there who had space helmets and still croaked it

    You get what you pay for. most important thing about helmet is fitment, long as you go with good brand such as bell, arai omp... I would also look for lightest helmet possible. It gets pretty heavy after having it on all the time.

    I think Rennmaus knows the best Helmut for the track. :)

    I believe the F1 drivers wear the Arai GP5.

    I like the stand 21 helmets, they also make great driving suits!

    i use a Bell dominator and before that had a Bell Vortex . both great helmets .
