So, are you implying without the battery tender I would have received less than two years life? As you noted, all you can expect is 2-4 years out of a battery and so I got two. I did call my mechanic and he confirmed that all you can expect is two years if the car is not driven much (regardless of connecting to a battery tender).

Interesting, I recieved a PM from someone who indicated they are on thier third year on the current battery and they NEVER connect to a tender.

 

2-4 years is low for battery life in my experience; generally speaking (meaning daily drivers and 'fun' cars) I normally see 6-8 years out of a battery. Currently 2 daily drivers at 7 yrs, previous daily driver made 9 yrs, and seasonal fun car is at 5 years (tender in the off season)
