I compelety agree!!! There may 150 ads for Lamborghini, keep in mind I am only speaking Diablo and Murcie...but there are no where that many for sale!

And I see $250-$300k is not for off for 6.0's

With all due respect, and I mean no flames here, a couple of guys who sell Lamborghinis predicting they will increase in value does not exactly constitute an unbiased market analysis :)

Do you really think that the 6.0 has this kind of appreciation potential?

Can you tell us your criteria of what constitutes a "REAL NICE 6.0"?

None taken.. :) But part of being a dealer and enthusaist is knowing your market..Please rember that if retail prices go up, so do the wholesale prices! So we pay more for good clean cars..along with everybody else!

    Anything but BLACK.
..and has to have NO MORE than 2000 miles on it..LOL LOL
    Just teasing...

I would take your car as one of the "TOP" 6.0 cars in the country HANDS down today..

Great paint and interior combo, runs top notce, no accidents, paint, good well documented all service miles, 2 owners from new...this is what is a "REAL NICE" 6.0!

ANd of course MINE HA HA HA

Same as CHris...this is an open board for comments...ALL is welcome..

NOT just what I want to hear like other threads...

BUT remember we are in and out of these cars every day...

supply and demand AND wholesale price set the reatail market.

There was a time I could pick from 2 to 4 6.0 cars a month and bid a price to where I WANTED it..

Now, I am lucky if I see 1 to 2 a month..AND there is NO BIDDING anymore..

Its buy it now or its gone in 60 seconds (noi pun intended)

Remember when a Miura was under a $100K?? No THAT long ago...

AND they made OVER 650 of those!!

6.0 Less than 1/4 of that In THE USA!!

I will stick with my 250-300K by 2010.

6.0 has some type of cult following.

Some see it as the last real Lamborghini.

Some see it as a tasteful blend of Audi and Lamborghini. - This is where their is not too much of Audi, incorporated into the design. Without a doubt, it will be a collectable.

Well, no one would claim you don't know the market. I drove a 6.0 several years back, after having owned a '98 Monterey Edition SV. It was a clear improvement, but by just how much? Many manufacturers develop an "end of the model run" limited edition; to Lamborghini's credit it was more than just a cosmetic treatment (which is all my Monterey Edition was.) I just find it hard to believe that a 6.0 will bring twice what a Murcielago will bring in two years. I do, however, remain impressed by its retained value in the marketplace. Certainly worth a lot more than a contemporaneous 550 Maranello. And I'm not sure that the Miura is an appropriate comparison as that car was an entirely different model than anything before or afterwards.

Thanks for sharing your opinions guys. I'm now choosing between a 6.0SE & an '05 Murcie manual in titanium. Here's a pic I took @ the museum last week, I've taken many more from St Agata & Maranello & will be posting in a seperate thread.

The Diablo 6.0 do look very good from top.

Correct, but it should be pointed out that the meaningful Miura/Countach/Diablo comparison for rarity or production numbers should be thus:

Miuras of all variants = 762
Countach of all variants = 1997*
Diablos of all variants = 2903**

    * So 'they' say. I dont think the factory knows exactly...but thats very close.

**The Diablo production numbers are from Reuters. Perhaps their statistics are more reliable than those of Automobili Lamborghini SpA? LOL.

$250k-$300k for an F40?? Maybe one without an engine. LOL. By then I reckon they'll be circa $500k-plus for any car. Some are almost touching those numbers now...

I pick the se30 of course... Not because I have one but because of my personal preference. At the time of purchase, I had the option to purchase either car. But, being that between the two, the se30 provide a much more raw driving experience than the 6.0. Being that I drive "normal" cars to work, and these cars as weekend fun, I chose the se30 over the 6.0. Not to mention that I love the purposeful overall feel of the se30. To me, the car makes sense in its purpose. The se30 and its features seems to be very focused at what its aim is to be... Perhaps that is what also prevents many to want to own one?.. The 6.0 in my opinion seems to be catered for a greater audience by appealing with luxury and bigger displacement. But, the differences on the se30 are very subtle but all supports its raison d'etre... Example being carbon on the se30 is dry carbon, which is F1 grade reinforced carbon vs. the 6.0 carbon which is wet carbon... And only guys with some understanding of carbon can tell you that the process for dry carbon is 4-5 times the price of laid wet carbon.... which is more for cosmetic purposes. As for prices of 6.0 and se30? At the time of my purchase, prices for the 6.0 and the se30 were close enough to not make a difference in my decision. But, amazingly, if I was looking for an investment, perhaps the 6.0 was the way to go.... as we all see that 6.0 prices have gained so much... But, then again, I personally dont view cars as an investment... I view them as a joyful experience and examples of historical significance to my favorite marque...

Yes, I have to remind myself when I drive my SE 30 (same Red as yours) that I am on a Public road...not the Track...LOL...The car is insane operating machine...the pull and low slung handeling is assume..closet thing to the track car for the street...(except my SV-R). I am excited to see what the Diablo GT is like, havent driven it yet, will this Monday.

The 6.0 is more refined, cosmeticaly AND performance wise, IMO.

Price wise I disagree with you. The last SE30 I sold was at 185K. I know of no USA SE30 cars for sale, other than mine, and the owners that currently own them, well I know of two that have TURNED DOWN offers North of $200K.

With only 25 produced, (USA) I sure dont see them coming down...only up.
