I'm bringing my Mondial home next week and I'm a nuerotic first time Ferrari owner, she needs a full detail which I'm going to do myself and one question I had is what is the best way to clean the shift gate. I'm wondering how concerned I should be about anything falling down inside It's obvious to me that I don't want anything substantial to end up down there but I was thinking of using some mothers polish would it be the end of the world if a few dabs fell inside?

Unscrew and use some metal polish with clothes or maybe a buffer like mothers ball or the like
